How is the Çiçeksepeti commission calculated?
The Çiçeksepeti commission is found by applying the category rate to the selling price. Because the list in the seller agreement does not state the VAT treatment of the commission, the calculator assumes an additional 20% VAT is added to the commission; check the exact amount on your commission invoice.
The formula in plain text: Net profit = Selling price ÷ (1 + VAT rate) − Selling price × commission rate − shipping − product cost. Payout = Selling price − commission × 1.2 − shipping × 1.2 − 1% of the VAT-exclusive sales amount (withholding tax).
Withholding tax is not an expense; it is an advance payment offset against annual income or corporate tax. That is why it reduces the payout but does not change the net profit. The product cost is not deducted from the payout either, because you pay that to your supplier yourself.
Example: how much is the Çiçeksepeti profit on a personalized mug?
Personalized products appear on a single line in the Çiçeksepeti list, at a 27% rate. For a mug printed with a name, the calculation goes like this:
In high-rate categories, the profit on a low-priced product melts away quickly. In this example the profit is about 21% of the selling price (93.50 ÷ 450). The calculator shows the lowest price that covers the product cost and shipping as the "Break-even selling price".
What are the rate and payment term by category on Çiçeksepeti?
The calculator uses the 106 category rows in the Annex-4 table of the Çiçeksepeti seller agreement; the rates range from 4% to 35%. The list also gives the maximum payment term for each category:
| Category | Commission | Maximum payment term |
|---|---|---|
| Planners and notebooks | %15 | 35 days |
| Pens | %16 | 35 days |
| Plush toys | %17 | 30 days |
| Gift sets | %27 | 40 days |
| Home decor baskets | %30 | 40 days |
| Flowers | %35 | 40 days |
The rates are taken from the official list, from the version dated 14 September 2026. If the rate in your panel differs, you can type it into the rate box by hand. For the conditions of opening a store, see the how to become a seller on Çiçeksepeti article.
How are shipping and return costs factored in on Çiçeksepeti?
On Çiçeksepeti, shipping and return shipping fall on the seller; since the calculator has no ready-made rate for this marketplace, you enter the shipping amount yourself. Enter the price excluding VAT from your own shipping agreement.
For a product with a high return rate, the round-trip shipping of each return must be spread over the unit profit. To compare carriers' prices use the shipping cost calculation tool, and for parcel dimensions the volumetric weight calculation tool.
Should you sell gift products on Çiçeksepeti or on your own site?
For gift and personalized products with a rate above 25%, your own e-commerce site can raise the unit profit noticeably, because instead of a commission only the payment deduction and the site cost remain. Çiçeksepeti, on the other hand, lets you reach customers looking for gifts on special occasions directly.
Sellers running both channels take the first order from the marketplace and steer repeat orders to their own site. Find your own site's unit profit with the profit margin calculation tool and compare it with the result here.
Do the math once more before special occasions: additional costs such as a campaign discount, free shipping or a gift package may look small, but next to a 27% commission they squeeze the unit profit quickly. You can check the effect of a discount on profit with discount calculation.
