What Is Payment Gateway?

A technology system that ensures payment transactions between seller and buyer are carried out securely in online transactions. A payment gateway lets users pay by credit card or other payment methods and performs all the steps needed to process these payments securely. Payment details are encrypted and sent to the relevant bank or payment service provider, and the transaction is completed once approval is received.
