What Is Closed Computer Network?

A closed computer network is a network that is generally inaccessible from the outside and serves a limited number of users within a particular organization or institution. Because such networks are more secure against external threats, they are preferred for protecting sensitive data. Systems that have no direct connection to the Internet and are open only to specific users fall into this category.
