What Is Data?

A term used in computer science and information technology. It refers to raw, unprocessed information, which can turn into meaningful information once it is analyzed and processed. Data can come in various formats: text, numbers, images or sound. In e-commerce, data collected in many areas, such as customer behavior and sales statistics, plays a critical role in businesses' strategic decisions.
