What Is Google Ads?

Google Ads (formerly Google AdWords) is the advertising platform that lets businesses advertise in Google search results, on YouTube, in Gmail and on sites in Google's advertising network. Advertisers define the keywords, audience and budget they want to target; payment is mostly made per click (CPC). E-commerce sites can aim for sales and conversions with search, shopping (product listing), display and remarketing campaigns. In 2018, the AdWords name was changed to Google Ads.
