What Is Lawful Access?

Describes access by authorized institutions or persons to information and data under certain conditions. Such access is generally needed for reasons of security, criminal investigation or legal requirements. Lawful access aims to strike a balance between individual privacy rights and the state's security and judicial needs. Legal procedures and authorization documents are generally required to determine whether the access is lawful.
