What Is NFC (Near Field Communication)?

NFC (Near Field Communication) is a wireless communication technology that allows two devices to transfer data quickly and securely at very short distances (usually within a few centimeters). NFC technology is widely used especially in contactless payment systems (such as paying with smartphones). It is also used in many other areas, such as scanning event tickets, quick data sharing or exchanging information with smart tags.
