What Is POS Device?

POS, short for "Point of Sale", is the name given to the electronic devices used for credit card and debit card payments in physical stores. These devices read the card's magnetic stripe or chip to capture payment details and contact the bank for the payment to go through. They are widely used in stores, restaurants and other retail points of sale.
