What Is Virtual POS?

A virtual POS is an electronic payment system that enables payments to be made by credit card over the internet. Through this system, e-commerce sites let their customers pay by credit card or debit card when shopping online. A virtual POS works without the need for a physical POS device, integrated with the payment infrastructure provided by banks or payment institutions.
