Description
Telsam is a licensed voice operator and telecommunications company offering call center and fixed voice services. Faprika's SMS integration lets you send order notifications to customers shopping on your site as SMS in addition to email. Businesses that take orders with cash on delivery or bank transfer can use the same integration to send the customer an SMS verification link and have the order confirmed.
How Is Setup Done?
First you sign up with Telsam. Then, in the Faprika panel, follow the "Add-ons >> Telsam" step, enter the username and password you were given in the relevant fields, and click "Save". If the details are correct, your SMS credit balance appears on screen. If no credit appears, you can check your username and password, or contact the company to verify the details. The details entered in this field must not be confused with API credentials. All the steps are explained in the Telsam Setup tutorial.
Which Messages Are Sent by SMS?
SMS content is managed from Faprika's message templates. In a template such as "Your Order Has Been Created", when you tick the "SMS Active" option and fill in the "SMS Content" field, that notification is also sent as an SMS. You can add store, user and order information to the message with icons, and choose whether the message goes out immediately or after a time you set. Verification for Cash-on-Delivery and Bank Transfer Orders
For orders placed with cash on delivery or bank transfer, a verification link is sent to the customer by SMS. The customer confirms the order; this reduces the risk of preparing fake or erroneous orders.
