Why Is Maintenance Necessary?

The data (information) of users and guests who add products to the cart on your site but leave without completing their purchase is kept, even if temporarily, on Faprika e-commerce servers. After a certain period, depending on your site’s traffic, this data builds up, affects your site’s performance and causes it to slow down. Faprika performs “Clear Guest Users” maintenance at regular intervals, but to improve your site’s performance it also lets you do this yourself.Why Should We Do Regular Maintenance?

Speed and performance on your e-commerce site are critical for user experience. The temporary data of users and guests who leave the site without completing the shopping process is stored on Faprika servers for a while. The accumulation of this data can negatively affect your site’s performance. Faprika cleans such data at regular intervals, but you can also do this yourself to optimize your site’s performance.

How Is Maintenance Done?

1. First, follow the menu path System >> Maintenance.
2. Click the Clear Guest Users option.
3. Select your date ranges and, optionally, the Empty Carts Only button.
4. Confirm to delete the data.
   

Clearing Unused Carts

You can also easily delete empty carts created before a certain date by using the Clear Unused Carts option.

Automatic Cleanup Operations

If you do not want to do regular maintenance, you can set up automatic cleanup from the System >> Scheduled Tasks menu. This way, the system will automatically clear guest user data at set intervals.
